Viaservice Container Solution Gains Momentum Across East African Trade Routes

The Viaservice team recently completed a successful outreach tour across Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, conducting strategic workshops with clearing and forwarding agents to showcase our innovative Viaservice Container Solution (VCS). Our representatives from both Tanzania and Kenya engaged with key stakeholders, including prominent industry associations RWAFFA (Rwanda Freight Forwarders Association), UFFA (Uganda Freight Forwarders Association), and ABDAT (Burundi Freight Forwarders Association).

Breaking Free from Traditional Container Deposits

Container deposits have long been a significant barrier to growth for clearing and forwarding agents across East Africa. These substantial financial commitments tie up working capital and limit business expansion opportunities. During our workshops, industry professionals shared how these deposits have historically constrained their operations and hindered their ability to take on additional business.

VCS: A Game-Changing Solution

The Viaservice Container Solution (VCS) introduces a transformative approach to container management, eliminating the need for traditional deposits. Our solution offers several key benefits for stakeholders across the logistics chain:

For Clearing and Forwarding Agents:

  • Immediate release of working capital previously tied up in deposits

  • Enhanced ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

  • Simplified administrative processes

  • Reduced operational costs

For Shippers:

  • Faster cargo clearance and delivery

  • Lower overall shipping costs

  • Improved cash flow management

For Transporters:

  • Streamlined container release procedures

  • Reduced waiting times at ports

  • Improved business scalability

Regional Integration and Accessibility

A key highlight of our solution is its comprehensive coverage across both Tanzanian and Kenyan ports, offering unprecedented flexibility for regional trade. This dual-port accessibility ensures that businesses can optimize their shipping routes while enjoying deposit-free container releases across the entire East African corridor.

Positive Industry Reception

The workshops revealed overwhelming support for the VCS initiative. Representatives from RWAFFA, UFFA, and ABDAT expressed particular enthusiasm about the potential of the solution to revolutionize regional trade dynamics. The positive reception underscores the industry's readiness to embrace innovative solutions that address long-standing challenges.

Looking Ahead

As Viaservice expands its presence across East Africa, we remain committed to developing solutions that facilitate trade and logistics growth. The successful implementation of VCS across multiple countries demonstrates our dedication to removing barriers and creating a more efficient, cost-effective logistics environment for all stakeholders.
