General Description

The Senior Finance Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team. The role is responsible for supporting all core finance operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, tax, compliance, and internal controls. The Senior Finance Analyst will ensure the integrity of financial information, strengthen risk management, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting & Analysis


    • Assist in preparing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.


    • Support compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements.


    • Provide variance analysis, performance trends, and insights to management.


    • Build and maintain financial models and dashboards in Excel to support decision-making.

  2. Budgeting & Forecasting


    • Support the annual budgeting process and updating of forecasts.


    • Work with business units to align budgets with business objectives.


    • Assist in conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis to guide strategy.

  3. Accounting & Internal Controls


    • Support day-to-day accounting operations and reconciliations.


    • Assist in strengthening internal controls and risk management frameworks.


    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of month-end and year-end closings.

  4. Tax & Compliance


    • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and statutory obligations.


    • Monitor Tax and Statutory compliance requirements and assist in implementing best practices.


    • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

  5. Risk Management & Governance


    • Assist in identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks, ensuring that all risks and corresponding mitigation actions are accurately documented and regularly updated in the Risk Register.


    • Support governance and compliance processes.


    • Provide assistance to the CFO in audit committee and board reporting.

  6. Team Support & Development


    • Support the supervision and development of finance team members.


    • Promote a culture of data integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.


    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-years Audit background experience (Big 4 or similar strongly preferred).

  • Solid experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, risk management, and internal controls.

  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling, data analysis, dashboards).

  • Proven expertise in financial analysis and business performance insights.

  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

  • Reliability of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

  • Adherence to compliance and tax deadlines.

  • Audit outcomes (clean opinion, minimal findings)

  • Effectiveness of internal controls and risk management.

  • Quality of insights provided to the CFO and management.

  • Contribution to team development and support.
